Long overdue update - 24/10/2007
Thursday the 25th of October, 6,30pm-9pm in Roger Stevens Lecture Theatre 19
Hey Guys,
We've got lots to tell you this week, so I apologise for the long rambley post.
First things first, our usual weekly anime showing is as usual.
******Thursday the 25th of October, 6,30pm-9pm in Roger Stevens Lecture Theatre 19******
We'll be in the Old Bar from 5,30pm till 6,15ish as-usual!!
We've booked the upstairs room in the packhorse for the social afterwards!
Post what you wanna bring in this thread (if you can!).
Regarding this week's showing we're going to be having a vote for our new Secretary, how exciting!
If you haven't put your name foward already, but would like to, post here.
Though if you nominate yourself on the day, that's fine too.
We'll be doing this at the start of the showing, so if you want to vote or more importantly stand, try and turn up on time!
If you do want to stand but are going to be late, let me know and we'll wait for you (within reason!).
Also a lot of you are borrowing stuff from the library that's due back very soon!!
I won't bother listing you, as there's a whole lot of you!
But if you know you're borrowing stuff, check this thread to see when it's due back.
If it's due back on the 25th, could you please bring it back on thursday, or by the latest Sunday??
After Sunday, I'm afarid we'll have to charge you!! (only 50p but hey...it's nice to return things on time!)
Regarding this sunday it's a film showing again!!
Just to confuse you, we're NOT in the Lounge this week, but we shall be back there from next week.

Video Games, too - 04/10/2007
Thursday the 4th of October, 6,30pm-9pm in Roger Stevens Lecture Theatre 19
like i said last week, this our new regular showing time and place, so if in doubt, stick with this!!
We'll be in the Old Bar from 5,30pm till 6,15ish as-usual!! so if you don't know where you're going meet us there!
If you intend on bringing something to show, it would useful to let us know beforehand if you can, just post on the following thread.
We did have a few teething problems last week, which i do apologise for. However hopefully we've learned from our mistakes!!
They do seem to lock the entrances to Roger Stevens some time between 7 and 8pm, so the best thing would either to turn up directly to the lecture theatre some time before 7pm, or to meet us in the Old Bar before quarter past 6. If you are going to be late, please give me a ring or a text (07916323835), and I'll come to the appropriate entrance when you get there and I'll let you in!! In the same vein, if you want food your best off buying it from the union (or wherever), before you come to the lecture theatre, as travelling to and fro during the showing has, alas, become a lot more impractical...but if you do find yourself locked out, do give me a ring!
Regarding the library, we're going to send the form round like last week, where you can put your name and email address against anything you want to borrow...however we're going to wait till the end of the showing to go and retrieve any material from the locker in the Union...this is to prevent interrupting/slowing down the showing, and will simply mean one trip en masse to the union rather than a few individuals making multiple trips back and forth! Hopefully this'll work a lot better!! To help you make your mind before you come to showing, we've got a full list of what we have here, and a list of what's currently out here (you can also request the item next, if it's out, on this thread too).
Also, don't forget the Gaming Day this week.
Sunday the 7th of October, 12 noon-10pm in the Lounge.
If you're willing to bring TVs, consoles, controllers, games, multi plug adaptors, cables or non-electronic games with you, that'd be great!! but you certainly don't have to...
It might be an idea to check this thread to see what people are already bringing!
If you need to store your stuff overnight, we have some space in the locker (but not unlimited) to help accommodate.
If you're planning on bringing TVs and/or consoles it'd be appreciated if you could come down before 12, but if you can't make it till later, that's not a huge problem either!
Not as planned - 27/9/2007
